PIANO TEACHING

Piano teaching takes a very special place in Chi-Ling Lok's work. Apart from performing, teaching is for her another way of sharing the joy of music making with other people. She has been a piano teacher working in London schools for over a decade. Currently, she is teaching piano at Bishop Justus CE School (Secondary School), St. Paul's Academy (Secondary School), St. Mark's CE Primary School and Concert Canary. Previously she was also a piano teacher at London Christian School (independent primary school) as well as at the Chinese School of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in London. She has extensive experience in teaching children, teenagers and adults with abilities ranging from beginner to grade 8 and Diploma level. Over the years of her teaching she has maintained a 100% pass rate for her piano students with over 93% of them achieving “Distinctions” and "Merits" in ABRSM and Trinity-Guildhall piano exams. Her students have won music awards at prestigious secondary schools including Music Exhibition Prize as at St. Dunstan's College. She also prepares students successfully for their GCSE and A-Level music requirements at their secondary schools as well as for music Summer schools and Master classes organised by the Junior departments at the London music colleges.

Beyond teaching the piano Chi-Ling also works as an accompanist. She has accompanied student choirs and ensembles in various school performances and frequently accompanies students for exams and school concerts.
